3 days from Errachidia to Marrakech

Day 1: Errachidia – Ziz Valley – Erfoud – Merzouga

The adventure begins in Errachidia, an oasis city known for its strategic location at the edge of the desert. From here, we head south through the magnificent Ziz Valley, famous for its palm groves and centuries-old kasbahs made of red adobe.

We’ll stop along the way to admire the landscapes and visit traditional Berber villages. Next, we reach Erfoud, often called the “Gateway to the Desert,” renowned for its fossil workshops.

The journey continues to Merzouga, where you’ll stay in a charming riad overlooking the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi. At sunset, you’ll enjoy a camel ride into the dunes, experiencing a magical sunset in the heart of the Sahara. The day ends with a traditional Berber dinner under a sky full of stars at a desert camp.

Day 2: Merzouga – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley

After witnessing a breathtaking desert sunrise, we enjoy a hearty breakfast and set off for the dramatic Todra Gorges, a canyon with towering rock walls reaching up to 300 meters—a paradise for hikers and photographers alike.

The journey continues to the stunning Dades Valley, known as the “Valley of a Thousand Kasbahs.” Along the way, we pass adobe villages, rock formations, and lush oases.

You’ll spend the night in a traditional hotel nestled in the valley, soaking in the peaceful surroundings and natural beauty.

Day 3: Dades Valley – Ouarzazate – Tizi n’Tichka Pass – Marrakech

On the final leg of our journey, we head toward Ouarzazate, also known as the “Gateway to the Desert” and Morocco’s film capital. We’ll visit the Kasbah of Taourirt and, time permitting, explore the nearby film studios where movies like Gladiator and Game of Thrones were filmed.

We then cross the scenic Tizi n’Tichka mountain pass in the High Atlas range, reaching an altitude of 2,260 meters, offering panoramic views and photo stops.

Our journey concludes in Marrakech, the vibrant “Red City,” where you’ll stay in a traditional riad and have time to explore the bustling medina.
